Rates & Payments

Rates will vary according to quality and amenties of the properties. A simple "self-catered" studio apartment outside the city center will cost about $50 per person, per day. A fully-serviced 17th century luxury villa, located in the heart of Chianti wine country, with staff and a year-round pool will cost about $300 per person, per day.

Rates will be quoted in U.S. dollars. Security deposits, if required, will be payable in cash and in the local currency....Euros, British Pounds, Swiss Francs, etc.

A good rule of thumb, in order create an approximate budget, is to plan to spend about $50 a day per person for a modest 2-star property; $75 a day per person for a moderate 3-star property; and up to $150 a day per person for a upscale 4-star property. Of course, rates will vary according to location, amenities and other factors such as meals, wine-tasting and guide service.  

Rates are based upon a one-week minimum stay (usually Saturday to Saturday). However sometimes the owners will rent properties for either shorter or longer periods; in this case rates will be quoted on a daily basis.

A "self-catering" arrangement is for a rental without daily maid service, without meals and only weekly change of linens/maid service. Properties that are rented on a "premium" basis can include daily maid service, preparation of meals, guide service and other amenities. Of course, "premium" service is more expensive and is available on an "a-la-carte" basis. Let us know your requirements and we will search for the appropriate property and quote you a price based on your requests.

For Villa/Apartment/Houseboat rentals, a 50% deposit is due at the time of booking. Balance is due 90 days prior to arrival. If cancelled 90 days or more prior to arrival - 25% penalty; and if cancelled 89-0 days prior to arrival - NO REFUND. We highly recommend Cancellation Insurance.

Some owners will accept credit cards, while others will accept only cash or checks. You will be notified of the preferred payment method at time of booking.

Most villa/apartment/houseboat rentals will require a refundable Security Deposit in cash (usually in euros, although other currencies may be specified). to be paid upon arrival to the owner or the owner's representative. Other fees that may not be included in the rental price (for example, air conditioning) will be specified at the time of booking. and in the rental agreement. In most cases, the extra, non-included charges will be deducted from the refundable Security Deposit. In the event the Security Deposit does not cover these costs, the renter will be required to pay any additional fees in cash to the owner or the owner's representative.

For other Euro Villas Ltd. services such as air tickets, hotel bookings, etc. other payment conditions may apply and will be advised at booking time.
